EO GIO – THE WILD BEAUTY ON THE QUY NHON’S COACH

With wild and magnificent beauty, surrounded by mountains and water falls, Eo Gio is considered a masterpiece of Quy Nhon nature.

Located in the channel of Phuong Mai Peninsula, Nhon Ly commune, about 20 kilometer from Quy Nhon city, Eo Gio, or Wind Channel, has rarely been mentioned as one of the famous destinations in Quy Nhon. The area is called Eo Gio or Eo Cua Gio (wind channel/channel of wind) because the nature create a small channel through two mountain ranges surrounding a corner of the sea that makes it look like the shape of a funnel.

It takes about 30 minutes to come from the center of Quy Nhon city to Eo Gio. On the road to Eo Gio, visitors will be surprised with the magnificent and poetic mountain scenery, the golden sands among the wind creating a slight roll into beautiful ridge along the roadside. Eo Gio also makes people forget their mind thanks to its high cliffs with their special shapes looking like a buffalo viewing over the sea.Eo Gio - The wild beauty on the Quy Nhon's Coach

At Eo Gio, you can make an interesting excursion for the day. The channel is surrounded by the immense green meadow with goats grazing leisurely. There is a rock heap that is called “keeping stone”. The reason for this name is that the rocks in this place was picked up a lot to build houses, but it seems there are still a lot of stone there.  The stones look like eggs in all sizes and colors, like masterpiece being brought about by the nature.

To Eo Gio, you will have to climb up the mountain in one hour to be able to admire the beauty of the earth and sky wonders. The path leading to mountain top is a little bit difficult because you will have to climb and crawl, but it brings about the feeling of floating when seeing Eo Gio blows, just like a fishing boat rushing out into the big ocean. If using binoculars, you can clearly see the coral reefs in crystal and clear blue waters, surrounded by fish swimming around.
